JASON SELWITZ

Current Job-Director of Service Learning  at Green Empowerment
 
Past Job-He later served in the Philippines with the Peace Corps and co-founded the Palawan Conservation Corps.  In graduate school at Cal Poly Pomona, Jason mastered in Regenerative Studies when he completed his thesis on the use of algae to treat wastewater and produce hydrocarbons.  As a Switzer Environmental Fellow, Jason has gained skills with biodiesel processing, photovoltaics, treatment wetlands, community organizing, and alternative building materials. Current Job-Since 2004 he's  been working for the Middle Rogue
Watershed Council (MRWC) as the Executive Director.  This
is also an organization that focuses on environment and
conservation of the environment
.
 
Past Job-From 2002-2003 he worked for the
Northwest Youth Corps (very similiar to PCC) in Oregon, USA and he was the
project coordinator and for a while the program director. This is a program that helps 4-9th grade students and they did trail building, noxious weed control and other environmental restoration type projects.  They also did outdoor rafting and
other after school activities for the kids during the school year.

JAMMIE STAUFFER

After graduating with a B.S. in Urban Forestry/Forest Management from
the University of Washington's Forestry Department, Jammie was an
Earthcorps corpsmember in 2000 and a Crew leader in 2001. She was a
Peace Corps Volunteer in the Philippines assisting in the development
of the first Conservation Corps in S.E. Asia. She also holds a certificate
in wetland science and management from the University of Washington. 

Jammie designs all aspects of restoration projects, including bidding,
billing, contractual work, designing, crew supervision, and community
organization.
